The short version
We collect the minimum we need to run your AI visibility report and keep your history. We do not sell your data, and we never share it for anyone else's marketing. A small number of service providers help us run the service and only handle your data to do their part. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.
This policy explains what GetAIVisibility collects, why, who helps us process it, and the choices you have. GetAIVisibility ("GetAIVisibility", "we", "us", "our") is operated by Pinnacle Tech Projects in Ontario, Canada. By using the site, requesting a report, or becoming a member, you agree to this policy.
What we collect
Information you give us
- Your business website (URL / domain) — the thing we run the scan on.
- Your email address — so we can send your report and give you access to it.
- Optional details you choose to add, such as business name, city, or category, which make the report more accurate.
- Your newsletter subscription (CASL consent) — when you request a free report, you subscribe to the GetAIVisibility newsletter, and we record that consent.
Information collected automatically
When you use the site we collect limited technical data — such as IP address, browser type, and basic request logs — through our hosting provider, used only to keep the service secure and working. We do not use advertising trackers or third-party ad cookies.
Payment information (paid members only)
If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is handled by Stripe. Your full card number is entered with Stripe and is never stored on our servers. We receive only what we need to manage your subscription, such as a confirmation, the last four digits, and billing status.
How your report is produced
To measure how often AI engines recommend your business, we submit your business name, website/domain, and category to our scanning provider (DataForSEO), which runs buyer-style questions across AI answer engines (such as ChatGPT and Perplexity on the free tier, and additionally Gemini and Claude on the paid tier). We do not send your email address or personal contact details to those AI engines. The results are stored as your report so you can refer back to them over time.

- To run your AI visibility scan and generate your report.
- To store your reports as history so you can compare them over time.
- To email you your report and give you access to your dashboard.
- To provide, secure, and improve the service.
- To process payments and manage your subscription, if you are a paid member.
- To send you our newsletter — AI-visibility tips and updates — which you subscribe to when you request a free report. You can unsubscribe anytime.
- To meet our legal and record-keeping obligations, including consent records.
Who helps us run the service
We use a small set of trusted service providers ("processors") to operate GetAIVisibility. They process your data only to provide their part of the service, under their own security and privacy commitments. They are not permitted to use your data for their own purposes.

Email and CASL
When you request a free report, you're subscribing to the GetAIVisibility newsletter, so we'll email you your report along with AI-visibility tips and updates. Account and service notices are also sent as part of the service you requested. Every newsletter email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can withdraw consent at any time by unsubscribing or emailing us. We keep a record of your consent choices as required by Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). Unsubscribing from the newsletter does not remove a report you have already received.
How long we keep your data
We keep your reports and account so that your history remains available to you and unlocks in full if you upgrade. If you ask us to delete your data, we will remove your personal information and reports, except where we are required to retain limited records (for example, billing records or consent logs) to meet legal obligations.
Your choices and rights
Under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial law, you can:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you and request a copy.
- Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate.
- Ask us to delete your data.
- Withdraw your consent to marketing emails at any time.

Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), authenticated access to your dashboard, and access controls on our systems. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and to limit what we collect in the first place.
Cookies and tracking
We use only the cookies and local session data needed to keep you signed in to your dashboard and to keep the site working. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not sell data to ad networks or data brokers.
Children
GetAIVisibility is a business tool and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 16.
International handling
Our service providers may process and store data in Canada, the United States, or other countries. Wherever your data is handled, the commitments in this policy continue to apply.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "last updated" date above, and significant changes will be communicated where appropriate. Continuing to use the service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
